1.5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines from Germany have landed in the captial of Ghana, Accra, this Sunday September 26, 2021.
This morning aboard a special cargo plane of DHL, 1.5 million doses of Astrazeneca vaccines landed at Kotoka International Airport.
Ambassador Daniel Krull handed over the the vaccines to Ghana’s Deputy Minister of Health, Hon. Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini.
“Germany is delivering on the pledge of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to President Akufo-Addo at the end of August to provide Ghana with the vaccines to promote Ghana’s immunization campaign”, announced the German embassy in Accra.
According to the data tracking website, Our World, Ghana has so far administered 1.62 million Covid-19 vaccine doses, and only 2.5% of the population are fully vaccinated.
