Although the Ghanaian defender Kennedy Boateng is selectable for Ghana Black Stars, he has opted for Togo national football team. This choice has been explained by the payer himself.

Because of some “administrative problems” Kennedy was not in the game during Togo’s matches in the last two days of Qatar 2022 World Cup African Qualifiers.

Nevertheless, the 25-year-old has big dreams for his new colors.

His objective, he confides in an interview, is “to help the Togo national” team to be part of the next AFCON and also to play for bigger European teams in the years to come.

The defender of Deportivo Santa Clara, a Portuguese first division club, also reconsidered his choice for the land of his mother.

“It’s because of my mother. She was born in Togo in a place called “Vogan” (it is 55 km north of Lomé), but she has lived all her life in Ghana. So I decided to play for the senior national team of Togo to defend the origins of my mother, “he said, aiming to” be known as one of the best defenders of Togo national team.

“Stay relaxed because you will soon see me in a yellow jersey and you will be happy. Trust the current process, because I believe in the team we have now, “he added according to Togolese media.
