A week after the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations, Burkina Faso coach Kamou Malo and all his staff, who qualified the Stallions for the AFCON semi-final, are dismissed.



In a press release this Saturday, February 12, 2022, the spokesperson for the Burkinabè Football Federation (FBF) Antoine Battiono informed the public of a meeting which took place with the president of the body Lazare Banssé, the coach Kamou Malo and all the staff, whose contract expires on February 28.

Lazare Banssé, after having congratulated them on the work done at the head of the selection, notified them that their “contracts will not be renewed”.

“The Burkinabè Football Federation intends to take up, with the technical supervision that will be put in place, new challenges for the influence of Burkinabè football”, added the umbrella of football in this West African country.

Burkina Faso was one of the best performing teams in the last continental competition. They came in 4th position after their failure against Cameroon.
