Cameroon has joined Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia who have already qualified for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022.
The Indomitable Lions were able to score at the last seconds of the game, that would have led to a victory of Algeria.
After their defeat 1:0 at home, the Cameroonians led the return leg match to extra time thanks to the single goal from Choupo-Moting at 22nd minute of the game.
Algerians were already feeling like winners, after they equalised two minutes to the end of the extra time.
However, Song Rigobert’s men didn’t give up until they obtained the victory. Toko Ekambi made it happen at the last minute. The final score was 2-1. They have thus qualified for Qatar 2022.
Cameroon have therefore joined, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia who have also concluded their qualifications this Tuesday evening.
