Dr Patrice Motsepe, the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), awarded the 2022 Excellence Award on March 14, 2023 to the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame of Rwanda and King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
The second African leaders were awarded at a prestigious ceremony held in Kigali, Rwanda.
The King of Morocco Prize was received by his representative, the Minister of National Education and Sport Chakib Benmoussa.

Also taking part in this ceremony, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the Presidents of several Confederations, the Football Presidents of the 54 CAF Member Associations and the members of the CAF Executive Committee.
The event also saw the presence of many African football legends, including Asamoah Gyan of Ghana and Cameroonian women’s football legend Gaelle Enganamouit.
The others are South African footballer Portia Modise and her compatriot Amanda Dlamini, Khalilou Fadiga (Senegal), Herita Ilunga (DR Congo), Pierre Webo (Cameroon), Lucas Radebe (South Africa), Kwadwo Asamoah (Ghana) and the Nigeria Super Falcons legend, Perpetua Nkwocha.
