Thomas Tuchel has pointed to the “special” side of the French capital club Paris Saint-Germain. The German coach is visibly marked by his departure from PSG.
More than two years after leaving PSG, Thomas Tuchel is still marked by his dismissal just four months after leading the French club to the Champions League final.
“I have been in a similar situation twice before. My dismissal from my two previous clubs had little to do with me…”, he confided when he took office at Bayern Munich.
The German technician gave a layer on Monday at a press conference, underlining the difficulty for a coach to manage the Parisian locker room.
“There is no secret to managing stars. Each club has its own DNA, it was special in Paris. It’s different in England and Germany, so it’s hard to compare. The culture of Chelsea and Bayern is quite similar. It’s all about winning.” he asserted.
“It’s strong clubs that set the rules, it builds character. It is true that things were a little different in Paris, he confided. It is a slightly different culture in the country, but it is neither better nor worse. The most important thing is that I love my team. It was great to be on the pitch with such personalities. A locker room is a sensitive entity,” he added.
