Despite having one last game to play, the U-20 of Niger and Togo are out of hope for the 2023 WAFU-B Girls’ Cup. Both teams were beaten again on Wednesday in Group B.

Togo and Niger were respectively dominated by Nigeria and Burkina Faso on Wednesday May 24, at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi, Ghana.

Nigeria miserably beat Togo’s national women’s under-20 team (6-0) on Matchday 2 of Group B.

After this defeat, the girls of Tatiana Kayaba must return home even if they win the next match against Niger on May 28.

In the other match of the day, Niger also recorded a second defeat like Togo.

The two teams thus offer the first position of the group to Nigeria who have collected 13 goals in two matches and the second position to Burkina Faso who have 10 after their crushing victory (8-0) against Niger on Wednesday.
