The President of the Confederation of African Football, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, and some other big names in the world of football in Africa, faced off in a friendly match in Morocco’s capital, Rabat, last weekend.
The presidents of the member associations of CAF and the legends played a friendly match on Saturday, at the Mohammed VI Technical Center before the final of the African Cup of Nations under 23 (CAN U-23).
Football legends included Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan who recently announced his retirement from professional football, Togo’s Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor and Nigeria’s Jay-Jay Ockocha, among others.
“It’s an honor to be in Morocco playing and discussing the future of African football among legends of the game “, said Adebayor after the events.
