Liverpool striker Sadio Mané came out injured as Senegal faced Togo on Thursday in Lomé (1-1), during the Round 5 of the African qualifiers for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In the 27th minute of the game , the 29-year-old striker received a blow to the ribs or hip, after a collision with a Togolese defender, forcing him to give up his place prematurely.


However, his team, victorious in Group H, has already secured its place to play the eliminatory stages of the Africa zone, which will determine the five qualified for the World Cup, in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Togo occupies the second position with 5 points followed by Namibia who also have the same point and Congo (3 points).
