The first goal of the match was scored in the 29th minute by the Togolese Ami-Reine Gaké, following a ball badly repelled by Gabonese defense. The equalizer came in the 59th minute. Free kick from Vanessa Mazaly and header from Jessy Obiang for the 1-1.

The Togolese victory came in the 98th minute thanks to a goal from Odette Gnintegna.


Final score: 2-1 in favor of the Eperviers. The return leg, on February 23 in Libreville (Gabon), will have to be decisive for the Panthères Dames who can settle for a score of 1 goal to 0 to validate their ticket for the final phase of the AFCON.

Meanwhile, the female Sparrowhawks, with this victory at home, will seek to seal their first ever qualification for the women’s AFCON if they manage to win the Gabonese.
