On the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of Togo’s independence this Wednesday, April 27, 2022, the former Captain of the Sparrowhawks of Togo, Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor sent a strong message to his compatriots.
“Today is a special day, we celebrate the 62nd Independence Day of our wonderful country Togo. I had and continue to have the immense pleasure of representing Togo at home, as well as internationally. I always do it with love; This love I have for my Togolese brothers and sisters,” said the former Arsenal striker.
“Happy Independence Day to all Togolese. My best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity and longevity for independent Togo. May the Almighty Lord God bless this country and make it a place of happiness for all Togolese today and for future generations,” he added.
Only two days ago, the Togolese star announced some upcoming projects in partnership with the UNDP, following a meeting with the representative of the United Nations body in Togo.
