The Ivorian football star, Didier Drogba, one of the unforgettable goalscorers of Galatasaray, visited this weekend, Fatih Terim in Bodrum, Turkey.

The two legends of Galatasaray, met at Terim’s house. They both released statements on Saturday on their social media accounts after the meeting.



“What more are the Galatasaray fans and Turkish people waiting for to erect the statue of the country’s most important and iconic Hodja?”, Drogba wrote.


After this visit, Drogba addressed Fatih Terim as “my father” and shared on his social media account.

“I am proud to play in Galatasaray and make history under you, but I am even more proud to spend time with you and your family. Daddy Fatih Terim, thank you very much for hosting us at your home. Galatasaray fans and Turkish people. What more are you waiting for to erect the statue of the country’s most important and iconic Teacher?” Didier Drogba added.


Fatih Terim, 68, is the former manager of Galatasaray, a position he previously held four times (1996–2000, 2002–2004, 2011–2013, 2017–2022). Terim has managed several clubs in Italy and Turkey, as well as the Turkish national football team, most recently from 2013 to 2017.
