The governing body of world football, FIFA has unveiled the world ranking of national teams, this Thursday, August 25, 2022. Ghana, Nigeria and many other African countries still stand still.


According to the ranking of men selections for the month of August, the Black Stars of Ghana still occupy the 60th place in the world. On the continent , Otto Addo’s men are in 11th place with 1393.47 points.

A place that Ghana have occupied since the February 2022 ranking, while Nigerians have fallen from 3rd to 4th in Africa since last June.


Africa is still led by the Champions, the Lions of Teranga who occupy the 18th place in the world.

The top ten in Africa are respectively Senegal, Morocco (23rd worldwide), Tunisia (30th), Nigeria (31st), Cameroon (38th), Egypt (40th), Algeria (41st) , Mali (46th), Côte d’Ivoire (52nd) and Burkina Faso (55th).

Nations like Botswana and Mauritania have made good progress in this month’s rankings.
