World Cup-French president sends a message to Morocco

After France’s victory over England on Saturday night, the French president Emmanuel Macron sent a message to “Les Bleues” and Morocco who will meet France in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

The message was simple and clear. Emmanuel Macron is at the same time happy for his country for qualifying for the semifinals and for Morocco’s historic qualification.

“Congratulations to the Blues! The whole country is behind you: we will go to the end together, ” the president said.

“To the Moroccans: we salute your historic victory. See you in the semi-finals!,” he added in a post on social media.

Indeed, Morocco has become the first African nation to reach this level in the history of the world cup.

The Lions of Atlas will face defending champions France on Wednesday as Lionel Messi’s Argentina take on Croatia.
