The seventh edition of the African Nations Championship CHAN 2022 will kick off on Friday, January 13, 2023. The opening ceremony will see the presence of several emblematic football figures.
It has now been a habit for several years in Africa. For the inauguration of the statutory competitions of the Confederation of African Football, African legends come together for beauty and communion around the common thing.
Among these expected figures, there is the Togolese Emmanuel Adebayor.
The former Arsenal striker won’t be the only African legend present at the CHAN 2022 opening.
The organizing committee mentioned the name of the Ivorian striker Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto’o, now president of the Cameroonian football federation.
The official launch ceremony of the competition is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. GMT in the grounds of the new Nelson Mandela stadium in Alger.
