A Beninese journalist and officer of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) at the African Nations Football Championship taking place in Algeria, was suspended on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 by the continental football body.

According to the media reports, the colleague is suspended from all football-related activities for 5 years.

Felix Pépéripé Sohoundé is accused of sexual abuse of a CAF official who did not hesitate to file a complaint with the Algerian police.

According to The Guardian, the facts alleged against the Beninese journalist took place last weekend, in a hotel room, when he invited the Moroccan woman following a request for a pass.
