Since the start of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, Kara’s ASKO has not won a single match, making the Togolese club last in Group C. Coach Abalo Dosseh believes that his men can make a difference this Wednesday.

This Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 4 p.m. GMT, ASKO will host Pyramids FC in the second leg of the Confederation Cup.

The Togolese team, which lost the first leg on February 26 in Egypt (1-0), must record a victory to hope to pass from the bottom of the group.

Yesterday, at the press conference Jean-Paul Abalo, the Team Manager of ASKO de Kara, insisted that they must “start the match off right to be able to take the three points at home”.

He recognized the shortcomings of his team and draws lessons from the two previous matches where the Kondonas were severely beaten in Rabat by AS FAR (5-1) and in Cairo by Pyramids FC (1-0).

“The team was not unworthy because it was not easy at the start, especially against Rabat. At this level of the competition, you have to be less naive, not to be afraid and not to doubt, these are the things that were the basis of our performance. In the second game, we understood, we released the brake in hand and when we started to play we put our opponent in difficulty, ”he said.

The coach also noted the difficult nature of this encounter in which the opponent seeks qualification while the hosts want to leave the last position of the group.
