The AFCON U–17 Africa Cup of Nations final will pit Senegal against Morocco on Friday, May 19 at the Nelson-Mandela stadium in Algiers.
This Sunday, May 14 on Algerian soil, it took the penalty shootouts to know the opponents of the AFCON U-17 2023 final, Algeria 2023.
The young Senegalese defeated their Burkinabé comrades 5-4. The two selections separated in regulation time 1-1. The Moroccans, for their part, beat the Malians (0-0, 6-5 after penalties).
This is the first time the Atlas Lions have reached the final of this competition. They will have a lot to do on Friday, against the Cubs of Teranga, presented as one of the best selections of the tournament.
Well before the grand finale, there will be the match for third place between Burkina Faso and Mali, on the eve of the final.
