The AFCON U23 2023 continues this Tuesday with the games of the second day of the group stages. Congo-Guinea and Morocco-Ghana are the posters of the day.

After the first day, with especially the crushing victory of Mali against Gabon (3-1), the second day of the group stages of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON U-23) will be marked by two clashes.

Hosts of the competition, the Atlas Lions will host Ghana in Rabat. Winners of Guinea (2-1) last weekend, the Cherifian players will try to snatch a second consecutive victory.

For their part, Ghana won a 3-2 victory against Congo. Ernest Nuamah opened the scoring in the 51st minute, followed by a brace from Emmanuel Yeboah (75th and 83rd). Despite leading 3-0, the Black Meteors conceded two goals in stoppage time which made for a tense late game. Despite this, this victory allowed them to take first place in Group A, level on points with Morocco.

The other clash of this day will oppose Congo to Guinea. Both beaten for their entry into the running, the two teams must win to keep a chance of reaching the semi-finals of the competition.
