Five Ghanaian clubs will benefit from the FIFA Club Benefits Program (CBP) by receiving a share of the revenue for the release of players to participate in Qatar 2022, FIFA announced today.
In its detailed statistics on Thursday, July 13, 2023, the world football governing body indicates that 565,772 US Dollars will be shared between five clubs from Ghana under the CBP program.
This is in accordance with the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between FIFA and the European Club Association (ECA), which was extended until 2030 at the ECA General Assembly in Budapest, Hungary, in March 2023.
Ghanaian clubs will thus receive 12.38% of the amount that will be disbursed to association members of CAF.
Here is how the sum is divided between the five beneficiary Ghanaian clubs:
Hearts of Oak SC: USD 219,008
Asante Kotoko SC : USD 200,757
Steadfast FC: USD 109,504
Dreams FC: USD 18,250
King Faisal: USD 18,250

There are 18 African clubs from, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, Cameroon and Senegal which will share an amount of 4,569,981 USD as part of the program.
