Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana is now a Manchester United player. The English club made the news official this Thursday, July 20, 2023 via a press release.

Strongly desired by Erik ten Hag, Andre Onana leaves Inter Milan for Manchester United.

The Mancunian club had to wait before completing the operation, but it is now done. The Red Devils formalized the signing this Thursday through a press release.

“Andre Onana has joined Manchester United on a contract running until June 2028, with an option for a further year,” the club statement indicated.

In a farewell message to Inter Milan, the 27 year-old goalkeeper said : “Maybe one day our paths will cross again, but now it’s time to face new challenges and cheer you on from afar. Players come and go, but the club always remains, and Inter is above everything and everyone. I don’t know if I was the best, but I always gave my best.”

After several weeks of negotiations with Inter Milan, the Red Devils finally have the replacement for David De Gea, who left the club this summer after 12 seasons and more than 500 games played.
