English Premier League players departing for AFCON 2024

English Premier League clubs are set to lose key players as they participate in the 34th African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2024). This tournament, scheduled from January 13 to February 11 in Ivory Coast, requires the talents of several football stars who will represent their respective national teams.

As the winter unfolds, Premier League teams are facing the departure of players participating in international tournaments across Asia and Africa. Notably, Manchester City, Newcastle, and Burnley don’t have any of their players among those summoned for this continental football event.

Various African national teams have already announced their final 27-player squads, featuring renowned players like Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, West Ham’s impactful Mohamed Kudus, and Manchester United’s goalkeeper André Onana.

Due to injuries, Arsenal’s Thomas Partey and Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey, are not part of the final squad published by Ghana Black Stars on January 1st.
