Ghana’s former Aviation minister and former Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central Constituency in the Upper East region, Joseph Kofi Kowe Adda has passed away on Thursday.

A family source has confirmed to AfrikPage that the lawmaker reportedly died today, 14 octobre 2021 dawn at a hospital in Accra after a short ailment.

Adda first became a Member of Parliament in 2003, after winning the by-election for the Navrongo Central constituency following the death of the incumbent, John Achuliwor.

He retained his seat in the 2004 parliamentary election and was appointed the Minister for Manpower Development and Employment by President John Kufuor in 2005.

Kofi Adda, a Financial Economist and a Management Consultant, also served as Minister for Aviation in the New Patriotic Party government under President Akufo-Addo until January 2021.

Joseph Koffi Kowe Adda left behind two children.
