Ghana-2022 budget debate: NPP members of Parliament walked out

The members of the parliament for New Patriotic Party (NPP) have walked out of the Chamber while a division was being organized as part of the debate on the 2022 budget with the E-levy.

The siting has therefore been suspended by the Speaker of the parliament, Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin for 5 minutes.

The Ghanaian government has decided to introduce a 1.75% electronic transactions levy. A decision criticized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The budget is supposed to be passed today, 26 November, 2021.
