Despite the pressure on the organizers of the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Omicron, the continental competition will begin today, January 9, 2022.

Total Energies Cameroun 2021 will kick off today with a match between the event’s hosts, the Indomitable Lions against Burkina, at 4:00 p.m. GMT.

The second match will pit Ethiopia against Cape Verde at 19:00 GMT.

Due to the famous Covid-19, Cameroonian authorities have imposed strict measures
