African football legends Ghanaian Asamoah Gyan, Nigerian Jay-Jay Okocha and former Togo Sparrowhawk captain Emmanuel Adebayor attended a ceremony in Liberia earlier this weekend.

On Wednesday April 14, 2022, Senegalese star El-Hadji Diouf, Africa’s top scorer in World Cup history, Asamoah Gyan and 2008 African Footballer of the Year Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor arrived in Monrovia at the invitation of the President of Liberia, George Weah, himself a former best footballer in the world and best footballer in Africa.

These former footballers, among others, were at the inauguration ceremony of the Invincible Sports Park in the capital, Monrovia.

The infrastructure is a new sports center built by the government of Liberia.

It consists of three football pitches, two basketball courts, a tennis court and a volleyball court.
