The African legends match held on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of Abdoulaye Wade stadium near Dakar, Senegal, ended 1-1 thanks to a pass from Emmanuel Adebayor which was converted into a goal by Jay Jay Okocha.
The inauguration ceremony of this “Jewel” as FIFA President Gianni Infantino also said, was marked by various performances, including a match between former players on the continent.
After a goal from Fadiga in the 12th minute for the Senegalese, Emmanuel Adebayor was able to help his teammates equalize following a cross from the left that the Nigerian Okocha used to shake the net.

Former Sparrowhawk goalkeeper Agassa Kossi also made his entry after former Ivorian goalkeeper Alain Gouaméné conceded a goal.
Asamoah Gyan, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Patrick Mboma, Daniel Amokashi, and many others were on the field.
Tuesday’s event saw the presence of top personalities including, CAF President, Patrice Motsepe, FIFA President, Presidents of Turkey, Guinea Bissau, Gambia and Rwanda.
