The Bayelsa Queens are champions of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) for the 2021-22 season. They succeed to Rivers Angels.

The team led by coach Yenagoa Aduku Moses lifted the trophy Sunday after beating 2-1 Amazons Nasarawa stage Samuel Ogbemudia Benin City.

This is the fifth time in its history that the club wins the title of the Nigerian women’s elite.

The last coronation of NWFL of Bayelsa Queens are won in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2018.

The striker of the Super Falcons of Nigeria and champions Gift Monday finished the season being the top scorer with 12 goals.

This is the second consecutive time she achieves this feat in the championship.
