On the sidelines of a charity match organized by Samuel Eto’o earlier this week, the Cameroonian star and his guests were invited to react to Kylian Mbappé’s decision to stay at PSG.
Samuel Eto’o organized Sunday, with Stars on Field, a charity match, the “Match of the heroes of integration”, to fight against all forms of discrimination.
Before the match, Samuel Eto’o spoke to the Spanish media about his initiative and especially about football news. Regarding Mbappé’s decision to stay at PSG by signing a contract until 2025, the ex-international striker was satisfied to say the least.
“I can only congratulate him. He stayed at PSG, a team that I support, so good for us. What we want for the best players in the world, when they are not at Barça, to go at PSG, or vice versa. If he’s happy, it’s good for football.”
The legend of AS Roma and Squadra Azzurra Francesco Totti, who was among the list of prestigious guests at this charity event, did not say things differently to the journalists crossed in the mixed zone:
“I would have taken the same decision, to tell you the truth”, he slipped mischievously while smiling at his interlocutors.
