The Cameroon and Zambia teams validated their tickets for the quarter-finals of the Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON 2022), this July 9 in Casablanca.

The Cameroonians beat the Tunisians, who also qualified, 2-0. The Togolese, on the other hand, discarded 4-1 by Zambians first in the standings, are eliminated from the tournament.

The first participation of the Togo team in a women’s African Cup of Nations thus ended in the group stage of the competition.

A rather painful end to the course for the Togolese, while the Zambians finish first in group B.

The Copper Queens will face Senegal on July 13 in Casablanca.

For the other encounters, we will have to wait for the outcome of this first round, this Sunday July 10, with South Africa – Botswana and Nigeria – Burundi (group C).
