After winning the Interclub Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year trophies at the CAF Awards 2022, Evelyn Badu has been named captain of the Black Princesses of Ghana.

According to the information gathered by AfrikPage, this appointment comes ahead of the Women’s Under-20 World Cup, which will kick off on August 10, 2022 in Costa Rica.

Coach Ben Fokuo has handed the role of team leader to Evelyn Badu, while Anasthesia Achiaa and Cynthia Fiindib Konlan serve as first and second vice-captains respectively.

The Black Princesses of Ghana are in a group to better prepare for the upcoming U20 Women’s World Cup.

After a few days of training at the Center of Excellence Prampram, they will be entitled to friendly matches.

Evelyn Badu, 19, was the winner at the CAF Awards 2022. She was awarded as Interclub Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year 2022 last Thursday in Morocco.
