England won in extra time in the final of Women’s Euro 2022 against Germany (2-1), this Sunday, July 31. They have thus won the first major title in their history.
Thanks to this victory, the English finally put their name on the Euro charts after two finals lost in 1984 and 2009, and concluded their home tournament in the best possible way.
In a tense match, in front of more than 87,000 jubilant spectators, the Lionesses were delivered by Chloe Kelly ten minutes from the end of extra time.
England fans were preparing for a dreaded penalty shoot-out when Chloe Kelly changed the fate of this final.

The domination of the Lionesses did not last too long. After the first scored by Ella Toone in the 62nd minute of the game, the Germans equalized it already in the 79th. But the winning goal finally came from Chloe Kelly in the last minutes.
