FC Barcelona manager Xavier Hernández Creus opposes the departure of Gabonese star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Xavi said he untransferable Sport reported on Thursday.
According to information obtained by AfrikPage, Aubameyang will not leave FC Barcelona by the end of the transfer window.
The Catalan daily denies reports from England evoking an interest from Chelsea and assures that Xavi is counting on the Gabonese striker.
Aubameyang arrived free last January after leaving Arsenal.
Auba scored 13 goals in 23 games in half a season (all competitions combined). He reportedly appealed to the Barça coach, who allegedly considered him untransferable.
Xavi reportedly intends to offer the 33-year-old striker some playing time, despite the recruitment of Robert Lewandowski.
