Back from an injury, the Ghanaian Thomas Partey kicks off the Arsenal-Tottenham derby this Saturday, October 1, 2022 in London, with a spectacular goal.

Partey suffered a knee injury during the international break. But he returned to the lawns during the shock against Tottenham this Saturday.

The Ghanaian midfielder did not neglect himself at all for his return to competition.

While the two teams were struggling to decide, he started the derby with a cannon goal from the entrance to the penalty area in the 20th minute of the game.

A winning return for the Ghanaian whose only goal made the difference against Tottenham before half-time.

At the post-match press conference, the coach Mikel Arteta revealed what pleased him most about Thomas Partey’s goal:

“The moment that the ball was going into the net and I could see it going in, and then obviously the celebration!”

The two teams will separate with a score of 3-1. Spurs only scored one goal thanks to a penalty (31′), before goals from Jesus (49′) and Xhaka (67′).

It is Thomas Partey’s first goal this season with Arsenal. At the same time, he is playing his 5th match in the 2022-2023 Premier League.
