Despite their elimination from the 2022 World Cup in the quarter-finals against Croatia, Brazil remain leaders of the FIFA rankings, published on Thursday.
Neymar’s country remains at the top of the FIFA rankings published this week following the 2022 tournament.
Meanwhile Argentina, world champion, is second and France completes the podium.
The two World Cup finalists each grab a place and thus overtake Belgium, eliminated in the group stage, who now find themselves fourth.
Note the breakthrough of Morocco, semi-finalist of this world cup, which goes from 22nd to 11th place and thus past Senegal (19th) to the rank of first African nation.
Croatia, also a semi-finalist, gained five places (7th).
