As part of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2023), the Confederation of African Football (CAF) made public on Wednesday, December 28, the final list of the referees appointed for the tournament.
Togolese referee Vincentia Amedome is the only female central referee with two female assistant referees from Cameroon and Zambia respectively.
The list includes 19 central referees with 21 assistants. There are also 12 video assistant officials released by the continent’s top football governing body.
Ghana will have two officiating representatives at the 2023 CHAN tournament following the inclusion of Daniel Nii Laryea and Kwasi Brobbey Acheampong in the final list.
This is the seventh edition of CHAN. It will be hosted in Algeria from January 13 to February 4, 2023.
