Sadio Mane was highly anticipated after being injured for a long time, which prevented him from participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The football star is back to Senegal with new promises.

Sadio Mane has not yet managed to find his best level, whether at club or national team.

Despite his return to the field, the former Liverpool player failed to perform as expected.

During Senegal’s AFCON 2024 qualifying victory (1-0) against Mozambique on Tuesday, the Lions striker commented on his state of form.

“For the sensations, I would say that it comes little by little. As I said, a competitor needs to play. If you stay off the pitch for four months, it’s a bit complicated. But , we try to deal with it, it’s our job.” he said on Tuesday.

“ Now I am back, I’m going to try to work a lot to get back to my best level, “he promises.

As reminder, following their last victory, Senegal have qualified for African Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023, scheduled for January 2024 in Côte d’Ivoire.
