The CAF Confederation Cup was played this weekend with the first leg quarter-final matches. Check out the match results.

This weekend, the first legs counting for the quarter-finals of the CAF Cup took place. USM Alger, the big favorite for the supreme title, has taken a big step towards its goal.

The Algerians beat at home FAR Rabat (2-0), leader of the Moroccan championship.

Radouani before half-time (44th) and Belaid on the hour mark (62nd) scored the two goals of the game. A great operation by USMA which will try to maintain its advantage in the return match against the Moroccans.

Mission accomplished also for the Tanzanians of Young Africans who took an option on the semi-finals after their victory against the Nigerians of Rivers United (2-0).

The Congolese Fiston Mayele, on a double during the last quarter of an hour (73rd, 81st), led his team to victory.



Traveling to Tunisia, ASEC Mimosas for its part drew against US Monastir (0-0).

Finally, the South Africans of Marumo Gallants brought back a draw from their trip to Egypt against Pyramids FC (1-1).
