New fatal shooting in the United States. a man opened fire on Saturday afternoon May 6 in a shopping center in the Dallas area, in the American state of Texas, killing eight people and injuring several others before being killed by the police.
This new shooting in the United States has sown panic at the Allen Premium Outlets, a large shopping center in the city of Allen, located some 40 kilometers north of Dallas, where many customers had come to do their weekend shopping.
A police officer was in the mall on another matter when shots rang out around 3:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. GMT), local police chief Brian Harvey said. The officer “heard gunshots, drove to (the scene) gunshots, faced the suspect and incapacitated” the individual, the official reported. He immediately called for help.
Video capturing the gunshots released by CNN shows the scene from a distance while the shooter is in the mall parking lot. His identity is yet to be revealed by the authorities. His body was found lifeless when police reinforcements arrived, along with those of six other people.
Two other people died in hospital and of the injured, “three are undergoing emergency surgery and four are in stable condition,” said Jonathan Boyd, Allen Fire Chief. Among those hit by the shots is a 5-year-old child, according to a hospital official quoted by NBC News.
