Captain of the Ghana Black Stars Andre Ayew has been honoured for reaching the 100 English Premier League appearance mark. This is the reason why the achievement of the Ghanian football star would have been a magical one.

Andre started his English Premier League journey with a match against Chelsea FC on August 8, 2015. The game ended with a 2-2 score.

The Ghanaian’s hundredth game in this competition would have also been against the same club. Moreover, the score was the same (2-2).

Indeed, on Saturday May 13, Chelsea FC played another draw against Nottingham Forest. Ayew was however on the bench till the end of the match which resulted 2-2.

Nonetheless, he extended his record to 101 appearances after featuring for his current club against Brentford on April 29.

This milestone began at Swansea City where Ayew played a total of 46 Premier League matches. At West Ham United, he recorded 43 appearances from 2016 to 2018.

The Ghanian striker subsequently moved to the Turkish club Fenerbahçe and to Qatar’s Al Sadd before coming back to the English Premier League for 2022-2023 season. At Nottingham Forest the 33 year-old has so far appeared in 12 matches.
