As part of the fifth day of the Qualifiers for AFCON 2023, Morocco coach Walid Regragui unveiled on Friday his list of players selected for the Atlas Lions matches next month.

During the next international break, scheduled for early June, Morocco will play two matches.

First against Cape Verde (June 12) in a friendly, then against South Africa (which is playing its qualification), as part of the fifth day of the knockout stages for AFCON 2023. This last game is scheduled for June 17.

On Friday, coach Walid Regragui unveiled an expanded list of 28 players with surprises.

The Moroccan coach has taken the decision not to include Abde Ez, who is performing well with Osasuna, as well as the young talent Bilal El Khannouss in his list.

Both players are made available to the Under-23 side, which will take part in the Africa Cup of Nations in June. The tournament, which takes place in Morocco, offers qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games.

For the rest, we find the executives Achraf Hakimi, Hakim Ziyech and Sofiane Boufal. Union Saint-Gilloise central defender Ismaël Kandouss has received his first call-up, while Adam Masina, Fahd Moufi and Youssef Maleh are returning to the squad.
