FC Barcelona has unveiled its roster of players selected for the upcoming clash against FC Porto, scheduled for this Wednesday in the second round of the Champions League group stage.
After their impressive 5-0 victory over Antwerp a fortnight ago, Barcelona is set to make their return to the Champions League stage. This time, they are up against FC Porto on the second matchday of Group H.
The challenge ahead is of a different magnitude for the Catalan side, especially considering their recent struggles, including a 2-2 draw against Mallorca and a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sevilla in the league.
As they prepare for this journey to Portuguese turf, Coach Xavi Hernandez has called upon a squad of 20 players. Notably, the highly-touted talent Lamine Yamal, whose contract was recently extended until 2026, is among the group. Additionally, young talent Marc Casado is making his return.
The squad also features key figures like Robert Lewandowski, Marc André Ter Stegen, and Sergi Roberto. However, it’s worth noting that Pedri, De Jong, and Raphinha will be absent due to injuries.
Here’s the list of players representing Barcelona against Porto:
Goalkeepers: Ter Stegen, Iñaki Peña, Astralaga
