AFCON 2025 (Q): Ivory Coast’s full squad list against Zambia and Chad

Ivory Coast’s national team coach, Emerse Faé, has released the squad list for the first two matches of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Zambia and Chad.

With just two weeks to go, African countries are getting ready for the AFCON 2025 qualifiers. A series of matches that will determine the 23 teams joining host nation Morocco for the tournament’s final stage, scheduled from December 21 to January 18.

Among the contenders is Ivory Coast, which unveiled its squad on Monday for the opening matches against Zambia and Chad. Notably, coach Emerse Faé has called up Amad Diallo, the Manchester United forward, marking his first-ever selection for the Elephants.

The squad also sees the return of Ibrahim Sangaré and defender Sylla Abakar. However, some notable absences include Seko Fofana, Ghislain Konan, Jérémie Boga, who is sidelined due to injury, and Nicolas Pépé, who has been left out of the squad.
