The President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo will participate this Sunday at the opening of the 26th edition of the Climate Conference, COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Several Heads of State and Government and representatives of civil society from the signatory countries of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), are expected this Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the opening of the 26th edition of the Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland.

This conference will take place from October 31 to November 12 at Scottish Event Campus.

The main objective of this global meeting is to convince the whole world to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions and slow down global warming after the Paris Agreement, six years ago.

As a reminder, in June, Ghana and UK reaffirmed partnership climate adaptation and resilience ahead of this event.
