The legend of African football, Samuel Eto’o has formalized his candidacy for the presidential election of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

The former Barcelona striker confirmed the information on Wednesday 17 November 2021,

“Today, I officially submitted my candidacy for the upcoming Fecafoot – elections. I am honoured to be able to do so, and I hope I can help reform the federation and take our beloved sport to the next level.” He announced on his Instagram account.



Samuel Eto’o, who never lacks support for his national team, believes that the indomitable lions will win the next African Cup of Nations (CAN 2022).

The 40-year-old man was also at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé, Tuesday during the last match Côte d’Ivoire – Cameroon, as part of the African qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
