Several African football legends including Ghanaians were in Niamey, the capital of Niger for the Republic Gala. An initiative that is part of the activities of the celebration of the 63 years of independence of the West African country.
Niger won the bet of bringing together a large number of African legends for a match on Friday, December 17th. Stephen Appiah, Emmanuel Adebayor, Antoine Bell, Aristide Bancé, Roger Milla, Patrick Mboma, Diouf, Okocha, Anthony Bafoue, Amokachi, Asamoah Gyan, Didier Zokora, El Hadji Diouf, Kalusha Bwalya, Karim Haggui among others attended.

We also note the presence of several African journalists residing on the continent or in Europe.

The former African players faced the legends of Niger in the afternoon at the Stade Seyni Kountché. The match ended with 4: 3 for the Africans.

This event is in line with the commitments of the President of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum to contribute to the development of football in his country.
