In a recent interview with French media, former Ghana Black Stars coach Claude Le Roy unveiled his favorite Team for the next edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2022).
“For me, the team that we win the African champions will be the team with the best goalkeeper. I’ve always been a great coach when I had the best keeper, ”he said.
“I think a player like Édouard Mendy can help shatter Senegal’s glass ceiling and allow them to finally clinch a title,” said Le Roy.
Another blow for the Teranga Lions of Senegal before the African Cup of Nations.
Claude Le Roy , a fervent admirer of African football, has rolled his bump all over Africa.
The 73-year-old has coached Cameroon, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Congo and recently Togo.
“The White Wizard” was one of the great architects of the final consecration of the “Indomitable Lions” during the African Cup of Nations , Morocco 1988.
Anyway, AFCON 2022 is likely to be disputed given the presence of several quality selections. It includes the defending champion, Algeria, in addition to Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria, Egypt Ghana, and from Mali.
