The Broadcast journalist, Countryman Songo has replied to Mr. Kurt Okraku, President of Ghana Football Association (GFA) after he challenged Ghanaians to mention any Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi from Ghana who hasn’t been selected for the AFCON 2021.

GFA and Ghana coach, Milovan Rajevac are under pressure after the disgraceful performance by Black Stars at the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021).

Known for his scathing remarks, Songo says the GFA chairman spoke like he has no common sense.

“Do all countries have Messis and Ronaldos? You are asked to select the best players for the country and you are asking us to mention Messi and Ronaldo (…). There are people who talk as if they don’t even have common sense “, the broadcaster said in the video below.

These reactions emerge following the failure of Ghana in their last match in AFCON 2021 (3-2) against Comoros.

According to reports, the GFA boss stated in response to critics on Skyy Power FM:
“The players who represented Ghana are among our best… “Just let me know if there is a Ronaldo or Lionel Messi type of player someplace who will go straight into our starting eleven”
