Senegal won their first African Cup of Nations this Sunday, February 6, 2022. They therefore become Algeria’s successor to the title of African champion.
The Teranga Lions met Egypt this Sunday at the Olembe stadium in Yaoundé , Cameroon.
A very tight and goalless match until extra time, despite the opportunity for Senegal in the 5th minute to score thanks to a penalty awarded to them.
The chance could not be converted into a goal by Sadio Mané.
However, the latter is the one who scored the winning goal in the penalty shootout section.
