“AFCON 2023 must be exceptional in its scale, its sporting and receptive successes, in sublime stadiums”, said this Thursday, the Ivorian Prime Minister, Patrick Achi after a meeting with Véron Mosengo-Omba, General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

According to the Prime Minister, the latter after having held with the Ivorian authorities, a meeting on the organization of the AFCON 2023, confided that “For the AFCON, Côte d’Ivoire has set the bar very high”!

In the process, the CAF representative made a field visit to the ongoing construction sites in Korhogo, San Pedro and Abidjan, the capital.

“He saw the scale that we want to give to the event and will help its success by opening a CAF office soon in Abidjan”, announces Patrick Achi.

“This African competition has become over the years a global event, watched everywhere with happiness and fervour ,” added the Prime Minister.

“We will therefore all have to be fully mobilized and committed to making AFCON 2023 this unique football celebration, the celebration of Africa, but also the celebration of a New Côte d’Ivoire, of a land of hospitality, fraternity and hope, which shines again on the continent and in the world! “

AFCON 2023 will be the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations, it will start from June 23 to July 23, 2023.
